Spaghetti is a quick and yummy meal that is easy to make to feed multiple people. It took a while for me and my roommates to agree on the kind of meat sauce and pasta we could all enjoy, but here’s our recipe.
Heat a large skillet or saucepan on medium high heat and add ground beef. Break it up in large pieces with a wooden spoon or a sturdy spatula. As the meat cooks, break it into smaller pieces. Stir occasionally until all of the beef is browned all the way through (approximately 10 mintues).
Pour the tomato sauce into the saucepan and mix it into the browned meat. Bring the sauce to a boil and then turn the heat down to a simmer. We like to add some shredded cheese to the sauce and some BBQ seasoning. Cover the saucepan and let it continue simmering while you make the noodles.
Basically, follow the directions on the box depending on what kind of pasta you have.
Bring 4-6 quarts of water to a boil. Add salt to taste.
Add pasta to boiling water and let boil for 4-5 minutes. We like using angel hair pasta because it cooks more quickly.
Pour out the water using a strainer. I like to add a couple tablespoons of butter to the noodles, and keep the sauce separate so that folks can add the exact amount of sauce that they want.
