Course Description
Would you rather “do it yourself” when it comes to tech? Think you might be interested in web development? Learn the basics of HTML and CSS through in-person training and self-directed practice. Start writing code for your own website and publicize your passion, whether it’s your portfolio, business, organization, sports team, fanfiction, cute pet photos, or an upcoming event.
No previous coding experience required, just confidence in using a web browser and a knack for troubleshooting.
Learning Goals
- Create a professional website that include titles, headings, paragraphs, links, images, lists, divs, navigation, forms, and styling.
- Read HTML and CSS to identify the code related to a specific element of a webpage.
- Write valid HTML code to add elements to a webpage.
- Write CSS rules to change the appearance and layout of a webpage.
- Troubleshoot bugs and search for solutions online.
- Discuss technical concepts.
